The Day 3 of the sug week was tagged " NUTURING THE WOMAN OF EXCELLENCE" .

        The forum was aimed at nuturing  the minds of young women to spring out the excellency of womanhood in them  .. The Vice Chancellor was represented by Dr {Mrs LY IJAYA} , Mrs Olobayo {CEO GOMOLA VENTURES} , The Rector of Auchi Polythecnic Dr. Mrs Philipia Idogho, King of Olupo Land , the Wife of the Vice Chancellor Dr Mrs Hassanat and Kemi Afolabi {Actress}. All spoke on the issues affecting women in the society, like respect for elders, mode of dressing..
 
     The OBA Olupo  launched the first edition of the SUG magazine with a whooping sum of 20 million naira  and Dr {Mrs} L.Y Ijaya rounded up the forum with a  saying "it is not the amount of education a woman has but her character.

FUNNY HEATED DEBATE BETWEEN STUDENTS AND THE SCHOOL AUTHORITIES ESPECIALLY ON DRESS CODE AT AUDITORIUM SUG WEEK DAY 1 "The Security personnel's need to be enlightened Co's most of them don't know What's up about dress code

The student union government week popularly know as the SUG week started yesterday in the better by far university at the school auditorium by 10am. Yesterday,been the first day,all students dressed in cooperate to suit the rule of the first day,which says,coperate wears. The programme was The anchored by comrade kamil,a 400L student of history and also the PRO at the SUG level.

    Furthermore,as the name connotes,the event was not only attended by the students but it was graced by the school authorities. The dean of the STUDENT AFFAIRS was present in person of Professor Abayomi omotesho and the sub dean,DR.A Yusuf. The school bursar wasn't left out as well,Mr Biodun Saka Yusuf.

     So many issues were treated like the issue of dress codes and sexual harassment,money matters,health issues,accommodation and students welfare. (A linguistic 100L student named Wuraola faced her fears and ask the authorities, the reasons why some students are always more favoured more than the other students when it comes to the issue of accommodation.           "The Security personnel's need to be enlightened because most of them don't know What's up about dress code " this was said by another student to the chief security on d issue of dress code.                   

  Some student showed their talents in terms of songs. The popular singer of OGA TANKE SIR,Tee-mirror. MGT(one of the winners in coke studio) and lots more.

        The occasion was also graced by #TEAM PRESSPlAY. pressplay is an NGO  to create awareness in students about being self employed after school and not be white collar job oriented. After the awareness,questions were asked and students that got the answers correctly were awarded with laptops, nokia android phones,and double function flash drive.

Unilorin students union week curriculum

Did you know that the much awaited Unilorin Students’ Union Week is starting on Monday? Yes, Monday 16th - Friday 20th March, 2015.
This session's edition tagged "SOCIABILITY AND ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE". The SUG WEEK shall come up on Monday 16th - Friday 20th March, 2015. This is to include Corporate day, Back to School, Colour Riot, Jersey day and Cultural day.
1. Corporate Day (Monday 16th March)- The SUG Week shall begin on this day with all students dressed in their Corporate Attire. The Opening Ceremony shall take place at the University Auditorium by 10:00am prompt with the Vice Chancellor declaring the Week open. There after there shall be an Interactive session between Students and the Management of the University, Deans of faculties, the Security Unit and many more. We all are expected to come with one important question or more in relation to your Better By Far University. Don’t forget the dress code of the day- DRESS CORPORATE!!!  
2. Back to School (Tuesday 17th March) – It’s time to flash back. Can you recall your days in secondary school? We all are expected to dress like Secondary School Students. There shall be an assembly at the Students' Union Building (SUB), after which we pay courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor and his amiable team, Deans of Faculties, Faculty associations. There shall be a programme tagged Road Accident Prevention Campaign taking place at the University Park by 10:00AM prompt. Thereafter, there will be a road show from the University Motor Park to the University Terminus. Later we gather at the building by 4pm for more fun.
3. Colour Riot Day (Wednesday 18th March) – Time to paint it coloured! This is a day where you put red on yellow, green on purple, blue on whine and among other shouting colours. Let’s break away from the norm. Please note Black and White, Blue and Black, Purple and Black are not accepted, black and brown shoes are not accepted. On this day we would be having the "Free Expression” and other events etc. On the same day, Nurturing Women of Excellence, a programme set aside to enlighten and educate our ladies shall take place @ Agriculture Lecture Theatre (AGLT) at the back of Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research Technology and Innovation) Office by 10:00AM prompt. Dignitaries that will be present include Dr. Mrs Philipia Idogho (Rector Auchi Polytechnic), Sen. Gbemisola Saraki, Barr. Asia Bola Suleiman, Mide Funmi Martins (Actress), Kemi Afolabi (Actress)
4. Jersey Day (Thursday 19th March)- On this day you are expected to show some love for club/country jerseys. You can rock jersey of Super Eagles, Kwara United, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man utd, , Juventus, Ajax, Bayern Munchen, PSG  among others.  The finals of the SUG SPORT FESTIVAL shall take place at the University Stadium. Come rep your club, your faculty. Other events of the day are: Match between the Central Executive Council and the Senate Council, Inter Hostel Match Games and many more. The Vice- Chancellor and his amiable team shall be present.  
5. Cultural Day (Friday 20th March) tagged African Personality - Your native attire is the dress code of this day. Come and show case the beauty of your culture, this is what makes us Africans. Show your real African Personality! Venue: SUB. Time: 3:00pm
